Reading through a bunch of articles and help guides to try to piece together what is going on. I have been working on this for the past day or so. Forum post I have looked at have people commenting to just buy a dedicated AP. My question is, what am I missing? Are there any steps or a guide that explains how to implement a mesh network on OPNsense or PfSense?Įverything I have looked at seems to be very vague. I enabled it, yet no IP address was assigned. I found out that the OPT1 port was disabled by default on OPNsense. Then then the WAN port of the Amplifi Instant Router will connect to the LAN port of the new router. The bridge mode is supposed to be activated. I have looked online and saw that AP units have to have the IP address in order for there to be control of the AP.īased on Amplifi's website. Yet, even though the router is in bridge mode, OPNsense is not giving it an IP address so that it can communicate with it. I have enabled the OPT1 port that the Amplifi Instant router is connected to. How is that setup? I have looked everywhere online to try to find a solution to this.
